  1. You can get those little boxes of wine at the $.99 store near my house. I actually like the Red Sangria flavor, plus you can drink it through a straw like a juice box! I plan on taking a cooler of those with me to the beach this summer. Oh box wine, what would we ever do without you.

  2. Hey there. I just came upon your blog and I love it so far. I am surprised that these aren't more "Capri Sun" style bags, but the juice buddy box seems to do the trick. Just don't accidentally pack one for the kids.

  6. Seriously? A straw?

Are they bendy straws or do they go with straight ones (you know, to look more sophisticated)?

  7. Unfortunately they don’t come with straws, but you can poke your own through the foil seal. The makers of the fine product probably imagine their consumers to be sophisticated enough to pour their box wine into an actual wine glass or some such nonsense. Pfff!

  8. Kristy- OMG! Do you know that your original boxed wine post was written on APRIL 19, 2005?! I decided to look at it in your "my favorite posts" section and I saw that it was exactly one year ago. How weird is that?!

  9. I will have to pick up some individually boxed wine. I'm assuming it can be found at BevMo.

  10. Wow...yeah it has been a long time since the boxed wine post. That is my favorite to this day...ok, well the sun dress one was good too. I remember the first time I met you. It was your first blog party at the Castle. Brian was sitting at the end of the bar by himself (awaiting his fish and chips) and I dragged him over to your table...only to find out that he was the one who brought the boxed wine! Then there was that episode in the bathroom, the tipsy waitress who dumped Brian's fish and chips all over his or someone's lap... It was a great night. How quickly time passes! Where is Brian these days? I think I've forgotten his blog nom d'plume. Anyway, thanks for evoking these great memories!

  12. AWESOME! My friends and I are going to see a croquet match between St. John's College and the US Naval Academy this weekend in Annapolis. There will be prep galore, seersucker, white linen suits, pearls--you name it, it'll be there. And since we aren't like that, we'll be bringing our juice box wine. Cannot.Wait.

  13. Ok, so the multi-serving boxed wine a year ago(aside: is the annual boxed wine mention some sort of wine drinkers' answer to the stoner 4/20 hoopla? Should we mark our calendars for 4/19/07?) was entertaining, but not revolutionary and awesome, since we have boxed wine here.
This, though, is just damn cool. I am MADLY JEALOUS(madly, understand?) of those of you who live near Whole Foods and can purchase grown up juice boxes.
New goal: Travel the three hours to the nearest Whole Foods some time this summer.
