I Do Not Appear To Be Cleaning

it's almost 2 p.m. on sunday.

i have had a week off.

my only goal this week was to clean my apartment.

(you see where this is going?)

this week i wrote, read harry potter, met friends for lunch, went on a couple dates, had my hair done, went shopping, sat by a pool, lazed about, and even went with friends to a wild 80's party (photos coming -- i had myself some big hair).

did you see "cleaned my apartment" on that list?

so i repeat. it's now 2 p.m. on sunday and i have only just returned to my apartment with cleaning supplies. and now that i have them, what am i doing with them?

that's right. i'm blogging.

*sigh*

  2. Yay, you're back blogging! Screw the cleaning and post pictures! I can say that because it is nice and clean here and I do not have to look at your messy apartment. Just kidding.

  4. Shull o'fit, that is hilarious, I was going to suggest now with all the fame and a new job she can probably afford a maid.

K, if he is any good will you send him my way, he sounds fabulous. I am awful at all things domestic and I absolutely hate trying to do any of them. Trying was the key word there. Can't wait to see the pics.

  7. Ummm...yeah...I teach. I've been out since May 17. I STILL haven't done the cleaning and organizing I planned on doing.
My closets look like they exploded all over, and have looked like that for 2 weeks now.
Really, I will get it done before I go back in 3 weeks!

You can get it done in a few hours!

  8. You make my life look normal (in a good I've-done-that-before sort of way). Thanks for helping me get through another day in a messy house with a lame-ass temp job. Keep up the good work.

  9. Just because someone purchases a firearm doesn't mean they're going to go out and shoot someone, and just because you've purchased cleaning supplies doesn't mean you're going to clean up. Now if you purchased cleaning supplies and a firearm it could mean you're going to do some cleaning, but it could also mean you might make a mess first. I say stick to blogging, less mess, no clean up.

  10. You're being too hard on yourself. Remember it's the thought that counts. Not the actual cleaning.

  11. cleaning is highly overrated. especially when naked cl boys are willing to do it for you. god, i've got to start earning more money, because "naked cl cleaning boy" is now topping my list of "things i want when i'm loaded"...

  12. so nice to have you back.
cleaning is one of those things that feels good once it's done, but will not be one of the things you feel proud of when you are. and by "when you are", i mean clean when you're dead. live now! yay!

  13. Man, I totally got over the whole cleaning thing. I spend $120 a month to have a lady come three hours every two weeks. (I have a small place). It rocks.

  15. Sounds like it was a perfect vacation! Who needs to clean while on holiday?

  16. Gosh, I just love you girls, all of you! And Kristy, I think we were sisters in another life. Take all this wonderful advice and forget the cleaning. Besides, if we'd not continually stir up that dust, maybe we'd never have to dust in the first place.

  17. Glad u have your priorities in order, Kristy. I for one am much happier you blogged instead!

  18. If it is just you, who cares, Kristy, if the place is a mess? Cats, maybe. Potential suitors, maybe. Just accept it as it is and enjoy your new job! Good luck!

  19. I say spending time with friends (IIF and otherwise) wins over cleaning anyday. Atleast that's what I tell myself each sunday...
