Damn Project Runway And My Clever Punnery!

Seriously. Ever since Ricky got auf'd, I've had the song, "Hey Mickey" in my head except, right, with the lyrics "Hey Ricky."

Kinda like:

Oh Ricky, said good-bye
said good-bye
but didn't cry
Hey Ricky (hey, hey) Hey Ricky
Oh Ricky, said good-bye
said good-bye
but didn't cry
Hey Ricky (hey, hey) Hey Ricky

And now it can be stuck in your head, too. You're welcome.

And I guess because it's Friday and whatever, I have decided to write more. You're welcome again.

[This entry assumes you know the original "Hey Mickey" song. Of course, if you do NOT know the original "Hey Mickey" song, we cannot be friends anymore. Because even if you're too young to remember when it first came out (ouch), it was revived for the movie, Bring It On. And if you don't know the song AND didn't see Bring It On, I have no words.]

verse
Hey Ricky!
You made it past prom night, and that's a little long

(Worse than Kevin's? Really?)

You thought you got it right but that sheath was oh-so wrong...

(Photo: Project RunGay) (Also, wtf?)

Now it's time to say goodnight, yeah it's time to go on home, Ricky.

verse
'Cause when you made it work

it seemed to make you sad
Or were those tears of joy?

Or did Nina make you mad?

So much weeping all the time, dude, come on
it's not that bad,
Ricky

[I know, shutup. Here we go with the big chorus.]

chorus
Oh Ricky, what a pity,
think it must be said
All those crazy caps
just couldn't hide your balding head

Oh Ricky, you're so pretty,
we don't understand
Who cries like you, Ricky?
Ooh what you do Ricky, do Ricky
Is cry boo-hoo, Ricky!

I think I've made my point. Probably another couple of verses wouldn't really add anything, you know?

Happy Weekend!

  1. OMG this is hilarious.

And I thought my days of getting "Hey Mickey" were over after getting out of the sorority (our rush song was a customized version of Hey Mickey!)

  2. Um I didn't know I wasn't the only one who makes up songs this silly.Confession: I made up a song to the tune of love shack entitled "light snack" for those times when, you know you just want a light snack.

  3. Love the song! Hooray that he was FINALLY eliminated - it's only about 5 or 6 weeks past the time that should have happened!
At the end of this week's show I was shouting "Oh, NOW he doesn't cry?" Which concerned my dog a little, but it had to be said out loud.

  4. I was more shocked that Ricky didn't cry than anything else. I was slightly shocked that they didn't send home Sweet Pea because her work and taste level can be pretty sketchy at times. I guess a derivative bathing suit is worse than a really sad costume.

Unfortunately, I was not able to express any of these thoughts in verse. I'm so glad you're here for that.

  5. Thank you for getting that damn song stuck in my head.

  9. I totally missed this episode (and somehow have missed the 30 times they've repeated it on Bravo too). I feel fully caught up now - thanks!

  10. So, I'm totally a couple of weeks behind in my feed reader, but I just saw this entry and celebrated its awesomeness.

    For real.

I LOVE Project Runway, and I'm so excited you wrote a song about Ricky.
