  1. That happened to me a year ago, for no reason. I had bumps everywhere, that itched like crazy. And by everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE, including the palms of my hands (but luckily, though it covered my scalp and ears, it skipped my face).

Took zyrtec, prescribed by the health center here at work (which apparently is good for skin allergies), and it cleared a few days later.

Never found out why I had them (I usually have NO allergies). And thankfully, never came back...

  2. OH that happened to me a few years ago! my chest was a little itchy, then my arm, then my other arm and then my stomach and I thought, weird, then looked in the bathroom mirror - hi, why am I pink and splotchy??!

never figured out what it was, and never really had an incident since.

    I feel your pain sister!

  7. I have been plagued with hives of the "no apparent reason" variety for most of my adult life. Allergy and itch meds make me sleepy so I refuse to take them. When the itching gets to be too much I take a warm, not hot, shower and use Head & Shoulders shampoo as body soap. It helps to relieve the itch and it actually helps to heal my skin.

Hope it works for you, too.

  8. Whatever you do, don't google chronic urticaria!

I went to the doctor with unexplained hives and she said "well, the good news is they usually clear up within a year." This is good news? They lasted six months, so I guess I was lucky!

Hoping yours are gone for good.
